Large institutions serve diverse student populations with a wide range of academic needs, making flexible and scalable support essential. Knack’s partnerships with some of the largest colleges and universities in the country ensure that students in every course—across disciplines and class years—have access to high-quality peer learning. By embedding tutoring into their academic ecosystems, these institutions are creating sustainable, student-driven support structures that enhance learning, engagement, and retention at scale.
Below, we’re excited to showcase how large universities are leveraging Knack to provide accessible peer support for all students.
Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) partnered with Knack in Fall 2023 to provide access to peer tutoring for all students in all courses. 100% of surveyed CCSU students have reported having a better understanding of course material since starting tutoring sessions on Knack.
Eastern Illinois University has been partnered with Knack since 2020 and currently supports all students in all courses. "My tutor helped me set attainable goals to work towards as well as showed me some study tips. This session was super helpful and I feel more prepared for the next time I need to study," said Megan K. about her Knack tutor.
Florida A&M University (FAMU) partnered with Knack to provide academic support to all students in all courses. The average tutor rating at FAMU is an impressive 4.98 out of 5 stars--a testament to the hard work and dedication of the program's peer tutors.
Through Fordham University's partnership with Knack, students and tutors have completed over 20,000 sessions. “Receiving help has helped me earn better grades in my classes, especially Applied Calculus. I also love tutoring because I am helping my fellow classmates and I make friends," said Elaina P. about her experience as a Knack tutor at Fordham.
