Knack is proud to announce we have achieved SOC 2 Type 1 certification, a designation that affirms our information security practices, policies, procedures, and operations meet the SOC 2 standards.
“Our partner campuses can feel confident that we are making every effort to maintain the highest level of security and compliance,” said Samyr Qureshi, co-founder and CEO at Knack. “This certification and our ongoing data protection efforts ensure our partners can remain focused on providing their students the support they need instead of concerning themselves with platform security and privacy.”
To achieve this certification, we conducted a year-long effort to ensure that our people, principles, and processes are fully aligned with cutting-edge security standards. This work included investing in new training and technologies as well as conducting a substantial amount of documentation, reporting, and internal reviews.
“Our platform is central to our data architecture, so it is critical that our partners trust our software and we always do the right thing from a security perspective,” said David Stoker, co-founder and CTO at Knack. “This rigorous, independent assessment of our internal security procedures validates our commitment and adherence to the highest security standards.”
Now that we have all of the required controls in place, our next efforts will focus on maintaining those controls throughout the year as we work towards SOC 2 Type 2 certification.
We are proud of this milestone and hope this update helps current partners rest easy knowing that their data is in good hands with Knack.
