Celebrating Excellence: 2025 Knack Partner Awards – Top School Winners

This year, at the Knack Partner Awards, we recognized institutions that lead the way in peer tutoring, student support, and academic innovation. Our Top School category honors the five campuses with the highest tutoring usage across all Knack programs.

These partners didn’t just support students. They anticipated needs, scaled access, and built trusted programs rooted in equity and student success.

1st Place: Northeastern University

Northeastern continues to set the standard. Since launching their Knack program in 2023, they’ve delivered more than 43,000 student contact hours, the highest across all partner institutions.

Their team leads with intention—proactively building a support model that keeps pace with student needs and consistently drives impact.

2nd Place: Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech has embraced Knack as an integrated part of campus life. What began in Spring 2023 as a targeted initiative has expanded to support all undergraduate students and, more recently, graduate students as well.

Their commitment to embedding peer support into the fabric of student services has created a model for scalable, sustained success.

3rd Place: Iowa State University

Before their Knack program even launched, Iowa State students were already requesting tutors. That early demand reflected a strong foundation—and a clear understanding of how valuable peer learning can be.

In just their first semester, the Iowa State team was able to create an inclusive, high-impact resource that students were eager to use.

4th Place: Fordham University

Fordham has been a Knack partner since 2021, and their impact continues to grow. Through consistent planning, responsiveness, and care, they’ve maintained high levels of student engagement year after year.

This sustained success is a powerful example of what long-term investment in student support can accomplish.

5th Place: Missouri S&T

Missouri S&T launched its Knack program in August 2023 with a clear mission: to expand access and empower students through peer tutoring. The program was designed to remove barriers and build a more equitable academic support ecosystem.

In just two academic years, the impact has been undeniable—both in reach and in results.

Why It Matters

Each Top School honoree has demonstrated what’s possible when institutions prioritize flexible, student-led support models. The results speak for themselves: increased access, higher engagement, and a stronger sense of belonging on campus.

At a time when higher ed is grappling with retention challenges, evolving student needs, and limited resources, these campuses are leading the way forward. They’re not just offering tutoring—they’re building systems of support that meet students where they are and help them thrive.

That’s why this work matters. And why we’re so proud to be their partner.
